Module One

The Art & Science of Coaching

Module 1 (4 Days)

"The Art & Science of Coaching" is a systematic coaching training course uniquely created by Erickson Institute, which has been taught worldwide for nearly 20 years. It has been certified by the International Coach Federation (ICF, the world's largest professional coaching organization) and is its highest-level certification course (ACTP, Accredited Coach Training Program).

"The Art & Science of Coaching" (Modules 1 through 5) includes 125 hours of professional coaching training hours required by ICF. Upon completion of this course, participants can apply for ICF's professional coaching certificate. (Obtaining the certificate requires participants to accumulate their own coaching practice hours)

Ø  Day 1:Brain research developments, scientific basis of coaching; Erickson's coaching principles; rapid rapport building; 4 planning questions: directing toward goals;

Ø  Day 2:Coaching process——The Coaching Arrow; open question lines: discovering more possibilities; effective listening methods: 3 levels of listening;

Ø  Day 3:Coaching positions; value-based self-image: drawing your desired future; outcome framework: making goals more precise;

Ø  Day 4:Connection between subconscious and conscious; "what if" questions: stimulating thinking and expanding the breadth and depth of thought.
